Mural

This mural was commissioned by Leylaty’s Kuuru, a Nikkei concept restaurant in Jeddah, KSA for their flagship Leylaty location. The reimagined mural focuses on the romantic union of Ebisu the deity of fishermen from Japanese mythology and Mama Sara the goddess of corn from Incan mythology, giving birth to Nikkei cuisine out of this union. By combining land grains such as corn from Peru and seafood techniques and flavors borrowed from Japanese cuisine Nikkei cuisine was born.
