Performance and Mixed Media Installation

in collaboration with Saif | Responding to Edward Said’s Oreintalism and Joesph Massad’s desiring Arabs, this performance is an exploration of external gazes and cultural representation from a confused lens collapsing myth with ‘reality’; cycling between Oriental and Arab, moral and immoral, self and other, masculine and feminine as both subjects and objects of fear and desire.
